Tamang Heritage Trail trekking, one of the most scenic and cultural walks around beautiful the country of Tamang interwoven with Buddhism teaching and religions, practice the same colorful culture and custom similar to Tibetans, which is just across the border beyond Langtang Himal.

An interesting and fascinating holiday around Langtang Himal areas which is close to massive Ganesh Himal also known as Yangri in local language of Tibetan origin, people with great interest for local culture and custom this will be your most awaited journey in the high hills of Langtang Himal.

Tamang Heritage Trail trekking, leads you away from the mainstream trekking trails of popular Langtang valley on ‘off the beaten tracks’ into complete wilderness and on the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt and Caravan Route of Nepal & Tibet.

Starting with exciting drive from the outskirt of Kathmandu valley to reach North around Central Himalaya range at Syabrubesi past Dhunche town around Rasuwa district within the home of Tamang people an ancient tribe, migrated from Mongolia and Tibet to Nepal with more than thousand years of historical background.

Truly a wonderful and mesmerizing walks after a long drive where our route leads you into marvelous cultural villages at Gatlang-Tatopani and Thuman of great interest where you can observe its traditional way of life of old heritage with beautiful mountain views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal.

With great time walking into rural farm villages and around dense forested areas filled with tall rhododendron-magnolia-pines-oaks and fir tree lines, in spring the hills and valley will be alive when wild flowers are in full bloom.

Our great journey ends with ups and downhill walks heading back at Syabrubesi village for the drive back to Kathmandu on completing one of the most marvelous and fascinating journey of a  lifetime experience on Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking.

Day 01:            Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03:            Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m via Trisuli and Dhunche town 1,950 - 06 hrs.
Day 04:            Trek to Gatlang 2,200 m / 7,217 ft -05 hrs.
Day 05:            Trek to Tatopani 2,607 m - 05 hrs.
Day 06:            Trek to Thuman (2,400m/7,874 ft) - 06 hrs. 
Day 07:            Trek to Briddim 2,229 m -05 hrs.
Day 08:            Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m - 06 hours walk.
Day 09:            Trek to Syabrubesi - 06 hours walk.
Day 10:            Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to your respective hotels.
Day 11:            In Kathmandu free and spare day for individual activities.
Day 12:            International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotels.

On reaching Kathmandu via various respective airlines, walk to airport terminal exit, here our guide and staff receives you with warm greeting and then transfer into car or coach (depending upon group size) for short drive into the heart of Kathmandu city.

On reaching your hotel check into your rooms, after rest and refreshment join in the main hall or lobby to join with other members on Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking for briefing of treks with do's and don'ts.

Evening includes welcome group dinner in a nice restaurant introducing you with typical Nepali cuisine with folk dance program of all parts of Nepal as entertainment.

Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Morning activities starts after breakfast, where our city guide will accompany you to interesting World Heritage Sites in our wonderful sightseeing tour, which helps you to gain knowledge regarding local culture and traditional life of Nepalese people as it was for many past centuries.

Tour leads around Kathmandu Durbar Square teemed with local life around historical sites and monuments, then heading due west at Swayambhunath Stupa (popularly known as Monkey Temple where large numbers of monkeys found around).

One of the oldest monuments of Nepal dates back more than 2,500 years old overlooking views of Kathmandu valley and the city from this hillock Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa.

After with lunch in local restaurant as the tour continues to holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath towards east of the city, one of the holiest Hindu sites, where great festival takes place in the month of February known as Shiva Ratri. 

From here visit Bouddhanath huge Stupa, a Buddhist landmark the area also known as 'Little Tibet' due to strong Tibetan influence in religion-culture and traditional way of life.

Our marvelous tour completes and then back into your hotel, afternoon free at leisure with preparation for Tamang Heritage Trail trekking. 

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m via Trisuli and Dhunche town 1,950 - 06 hrs.
Morning traveling by coach or in private vehicles (depending upon group size), where drive leads on interesting and exciting highway to reach at Dhunche and beyond to Syabrubesi village.

On drive views of mountain and scenic landscapes as journey leads past number of farm villages and towns and then ending the drive at Syabrubesi for first overnight stop, around Langtang Himal and Rasuwa district home of Tamang the mountain tribe of Nepal and Langtang areas.

Day 04: Trek to Gatlang 2,238 m - 05 hrs.
First day treks from Syabrubesi village leads to Gatlang at 2,238 m high on route Goljung, on walks exploring Tamang culture with grand views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung and other adjoining peaks. 

As trek progress leading past several farm villages and then a slow climb reaching a large Tamang village at Gatlang for overnight stop, on arrival greeted with warm welcome and tehn transfer to local lodge or in local homes for overnight stay, with time to visit around the villages and interact with the locals.

Gatlang, situated on high hillside within terraced farm fields marked with traditional stone houses. One can visit a Tamang monastery and beautiful Parvatikunda Lake at Gatlang.
The cultural show at Goljung and Gatlang makes your trekking an unforgettable experience.

Day 05: Trek to Tatopani 2,607 m - 05 hrs.
Today's walk begins with a descent to Thangbuchet, on the way enjoy views of Langtang Mountain range and Ganesh Himal with Tibet Mountains towards north, walk leads past small farm villages and into alpine woodlands to reach at Tatopani for overnight stop. Afternoon visit hot springs ‘Tatopani’ means hot water rising from the fresh spring with time for short walk around villages.

Tatopani signifies 'hot water’; it is believed that a dip into the spring heals you from pain and aches and relaxes your tired muscles, afternoon with time to experience Tamang culture exploring the village and interacting with the locals.

Day 06: Trek to Thuman 2,338 m - 05 hrs.
Morning walk from Tatopani leads to Thuman via Nagthali and Bimthang as the trail leads into dense alpine forest, chances of spotting monkeys and deer. On reaching Nagthali with clear views of Langtang Himal, Kerung, Ganesh Himal. Nagthali used to be a popular meditation center of local monks and priests. From here another hour walks to reach at cultural village of Thuman, where you can observe Shamanic performances with view of Langtang Himal.

Day 07: Trek to Briddim 2,229 m -05 hrs.
From Thuman trek leads to Briddim village on route visit nearby historical Rasuwagadi the border of Nepal / Tibet, China with an old fort. The fort here is a historical reminder of the Nepal Tibetan relations that have existed for many centuries. Walk today leads you with an opportunity to observe Tamang culture and traditional village life.

After an interesting time with views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, a nice and pleasant walk on winding path with a climb to a ridge overlooking more views of mountains and surrounding landscapes and entering rhododendron, pines and oaks forest, and then climb with short downhill to reach at Briddim for overnight stop.

Briddim, another Tibetan Buddhist village located on old trade route of Nepal and Tibet here with wonderful time enjoying folk and cultural show performed by local community.

Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 350 m - 06 hrs.
After a refreshing and pleasant scenic time in Briddim village, our walk continues into dense forested areas to reach a main trail of Langtang valley trek at Lama-Hotel, a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.

Day 09: Trek to Syabrubesi - 06 hours walk.

Last day walk of this fantastic journey leads back to Syabrubesi, as walk follows on the same trail providing you with much views of the area, heading downhill past farm villages and terrace fields and then crossing over a bridge, where our final trek of the adventure brings you at Syabrubesi for last overnight stop around Langtang Himal and Rasuwa district.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Morning drive back to Kathmandu on same interesting highway with exciting time as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey reaching in Kathmandu, then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 11: In Kathmandu free and spare day for individual activities.
A free and relaxing day in Kathmandu, relax and enjoy with individual activities shopping souvenirs or join in for another exciting sightseeing tour.

Day 12: International departure for homeward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal the country of Himalaya wonders, depart from the hotel as per your international flight for homeward bound or to your next destination country, our staff transfer you with farewell garland or Buddhist silk scarf 'Khada' for your safe and good journey, after a wonderful memories on Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking.
