Annapurna Circuit Trekking leads you to fascinating and mind blowing experience from low warm semi-tropical climate to cooler alpine areas to remorseless fields of ice and glaciers at Manang and towards high and scenic Thorang-La pass at above 5,416 m high.

Starting our marvelous adventure Annapurna Circuit Trekking, taking an exciting overland journey towards Nepal Mid West around Lamjung areas at Besisar town, and then following a raging Marsyangdi River right up to its glacial source near Manang.

After a good scenic walk reaching Manang village after walking past lovely Jagat-Dharapani-Chame town and Pisang villages, at Manang with rest days to marvel beautiful scenery of mountains and barren interesting rocky hills.

From Manang our adventure heads to cross high Thorang-La pass with grand views of mountains of Chulus-Pisang peaks includes Gangapurna-Annapurna II – III – IV with Tilicho Peak, as the climb reaches atop Thorang-la the highest spot of the adventure with amazing panorama of mountains and then heading down towards Kaligandaki River valley at Mustang areas.

Walking past holy Muktinath and to Jomsom (headquarter town of Mustang) and then on Lower Mustang areas of Kaligandaki River valley famously known as ‘Apple Pie Trail’ due to its delicious apples grown around Marpha-Tukuche charming villages.

Annapurna Circuit leads through world deepest gorge between towering Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountains to reach at Tatopani warmer village with hot spring, and then heading back to cooler areas at Ghorepani and Poon Hill offering stunning sunrise views over chain of peaks.

Slowly our marvelous walk ends on a road head to reach at beautiful and famous touristic spot at Pokhara after completing a wonderful and spectacular adventure on Annapurna Circuit Trekking.

Day 01:            Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03:            Drive to Syange 1,140m via Besisar - 07 hrs.
Day 04:            Trek to Dharapani 1,943m - 06 hrs.
Day 05:            Trek to Chame 2,720m - 05 hrs.
Day 06:            Trek to Pisang 3,190m - 05 hrs.
Day 07:            Trek to Manang 3,540m- 04 hrs.
Day 08:            Acclimatization day at Manang with short hikes and excursion.
Day 09:            Trek to Yak Kharka 4,210m - 04 hrs.
Day 10:            Trek to Thorang- La High Camp or Phedi 4,450m - 04 hrs.
Day 11:            Cross Thorang La 5,416 m / 17, 872 ft and trek to Muktinath 3,800 m-06 hrs.
Day 12:            Trek to Marpha 2,670 m via Jomsom - 06 hrs.
Day 13:            Trek to Lete 2,400 m - 06 hrs.
Day 14:            Trek to Tatopani (hot-spring) 1,190 m - 06 hrs.
Day 15:            Trek to Ghorepani 2,860 m - 06 hrs.
Day 16:            Hike to Poon Hill and continue trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,440 m - 05 hrs.
Day 17:            Trek back to Nayapul 1,010 m - 04 hrs and drive to Pokhara 860 m - 02 hrs
Day 18:            Fly or drive to Kathmandu and transfer to your respective hotels.
Day 19:            In Kathmandu free day with optional tour.
Day 20:            International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01:            Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotels.

On reaching Kathmandu via various respective airlines, walk to airport terminal exit, here our guide and staff receives you with warm greeting and then transfer into car or coach (depending upon group size) for short drive into the heart of Kathmandu city.

 

On reaching your hotel check into your rooms, after rest and refreshment join in the main hall or lobby to join with other members of Annapurna Circuit Trekking for briefing of treks with do's and don'ts.

 

Evening includes welcome group dinner in a nice restaurant introducing you with typical Nepali cuisine with folk dance program of all parts of Nepal as entertainment.

 

Day 02:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Morning activities starts after breakfast, where our city guide will accompany you to interesting World Heritage Sites in our wonderful sightseeing tour, which helps you to gain knowledge regarding local culture and traditional life of Nepalese people as it was for many past centuries.

Tour leads around Kathmandu Durbar Square teemed with local life around historical sites and monuments, then heading due west at Swayambhunath Stupa (popularly known as Monkey Temple where large numbers of monkeys found around).

 

One of the oldest monuments of Nepal dates back more than 2,500 years old overlooking views of Kathmandu valley and the city from this hillock Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa.

 

After with lunch in local restaurant as the tour continues to holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath towards east of the city, one of the holiest Hindu sites, where great festival takes place in the month of February known as Shiva Ratri. 

 

From here visit Bouddhanath huge Stupa, a Buddhist landmark the area also known as 'Little Tibet' due to strong Tibetan influence in religion-culture and traditional way of life.

 

Our marvelous tour completes and then back into your hotel, afternoon free at leisure with preparation for Annapurna Circuit Trekking next early morning. 

 

Day 03:            Drive to Syange 1,140 m via Besisar - 07 hrs.
Starting wonderful Annapurna Circuit Trekking adventure with an interesting overland drive towards Nepal mid west, leading to Besisar town (headquarter of Lamjung district). From here transfer to another vehicle and continue drive on dirt road passing villages of Khudi, Bulbule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream.

Drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange a small village for overnight stop in the comfort of nice lodge.

 

Day 04:            Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hours.

From Syange our first day trek begins, starting on winding path to Jagat and Chamje village following Marsyangdi River and within forested area with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu range.

 

Walk continues reaching at Tal village located on a nice valley, after Tal few hours walk to Dharapani village for overnight stop.

 

Dharapani a nice village with Buddhist culture, situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

 

Day 05:            Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hours.

Start the morning walk a into cool rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to Timang village from here onwards into more Buddhist area, with super view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, from this village few hours trek leads to a large town at Chame for overnight stop, a major town and headquarter of Manang district.

 

Day 06:            Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.

From here air gets cooler as the walk leads closer into mountains through beautiful forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream to Bhratang village.

 

From this village an uphill into pine trees to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few lodge and views of Chulu and Pisang peak, after a lunch stop walk downhill to Pisang village for overnight stop.

 

Day 07:            Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.

Pisang village located within Manang valley with stunning mountains views as altitude gains for here onwards.

 

Walking into forest with short uphill with views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu and Pisang peak, then reaching Hongde village with a small air strip, from here tree lines fades to barren, arid landscapes.

 

On route Manang village visit old Braga monastery with Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting, frescos and super panorama of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk to Manang village.

The houses here are of traditional Tibetan style with culture and traditions.

 

Day 08:            Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.

An important rest day for acclimatization before reaching high altitude and up to Thorang –la, here with short hike exploring Manang village beneath towering Annapurna and Gangapurna peaks, a nice short hike up for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang glacial Lake. 

 

Day 09:            Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hours.

After a good rest at Manang, walk towards Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude walk with views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach at Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

 

Day 10:            Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.

Morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walk progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading at Thorang Phedi for short rest and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.


Day 11:            Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.

Start the early morning walk on this Big Day! A thrill and highlight of this great adventure, after breakfast a long climb up to Thorang-la with steep haul to reach at 5,416 m / 17, 872 ft on top of Thorang-la decorated with Buddhist prayer flags.

 

Highest point of our adventure, offers superb vista of beautiful landscapes and snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m.

 

Muktinath a holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

 

Day 12:            Trek to Marpha 2, 670 via Jomsom 2, 715 m - 06 hours.

After Muktinath, rest of the journey is easier with moderate walks all the way with a big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, this pleasant walk leads to Kaligandaki river valley, from here walk to Jomsom, headquarter town of Mustang area with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River. 

After Jomsom walk to Marpha, one of the most charming village with white painted houses, paved streets and well kept lodges. At Marpha celebrate with local apple products cider, brandy and juice this area from Kagbeni to Larjung is famous for delicious apples.

Day 13:            Trek to Lete 2,480m - 06 hrs.
From Marpha onward, walk is enjoyable following Kaligandaki river downstream with views of Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri and Mt. Nilgiri walk to Larjung village, after few hours walk getting back into tree lines of pine, oaks and rhododendron forest and then reaching at Kalapani village, another lovely village with grand views of Mt. Annapurna I, Nilgiris and Dhaulagiri, a short downhill brings at Lete village for overnight stop.

Day 14:       Trek to Tatopani 1,190m - 06 hrs.
Walk from Kalapani and Lete onward leads to dramatic change in vegetation and climate, as walk leads between two giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna forming world deepest gorge.

First two hours of trek leads through Ghasa village with view of snow capped peaks into forest.

After Ghasa a southern end of Mustang area mostly dominated by Thakali people ethnic tribe till Tatopani village.

This pleasant walk continues leading back to paddy fields in warm sub-tropical climate to Tatopani passing beautiful waterfalls of Rupsi.

Tatopani (Hot Spring) village the valley is quite constricted and it is quite warm with sub-tropic climate and vegetation, Tatopani is another nice village with large hot spring pools just by the bank of the River Kaligandaki.

Day 15:       Trek to Ghorepani 2,750 m - 06 hrs.
After a wonderful time at Tatopani, trek continues on the nice winding trail for an hour, our route diverts heading uphill with steep climb then with gradual up all the way through dense forest to reach at Chitre, from here an hour climb to Ghorepani village with fantastic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South with Vara-Shikar known as Annapurna Fang.

Ghorepani famous and popular for hike to Poon Hill a view point offering super wide views of world’s three highest peaks and range of other mountains with striking sunrise and sunset.

Day 16:       Trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,500m - 05 hours walk.
Morning an hour hike up to Poon-Hill at 3,210m, offers fantastic sunrise views over array of mountains from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and as far to Ganesh Himal in the far eastern horizon including the majestic Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”.

From here walk through lovely rhododendron forest, and then with long descend from Ulleri village to Tirkhedhunga for last overnight stop in the hills of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 17:            Trek to Nayapul 1,100m and drive to Pokhara 860m.
After Tirkhedhunga, last day walk of this adventure leads downhill most of the way through farm villages, then finally reaching a nice village at Bhirethati by the river Modi, from here a short walk to Nayapul ending the final walk of this great adventure with a drive of two hours to Pokhara for the overnight stop by the Lake Phewa.

Pokhara, a popular touristic city, where the peaks of Annapurna Mountain range reflects on its beautiful serene lakes of Phewa and Begnas.

Day 18:            Fly or drive to Kathmandu and transfer to your respective hotels.
Morning a drive to Kathmandu after a wonderful experience on Annapurna Circuit trekking, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to your hotels with afternoon free at leisure for individual activities and shopping.

Day 19:            In Kathmandu free and spare day for individual activities.
A free and relaxing day in Kathmandu, relax and enjoy with individual activities shopping souvenirs or join in for another exciting sightseeing tour.

Day 20:            International departure for homeward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal the country of Himalaya wonders, depart from the hotel as per your international flight for homeward bound or to your next destination country, our staff transfer you with farewell garland or Buddhist silk scarf 'Khada' for your safe and good journey, after a wonderful memories of Annapurna Circuit Trekking.
