Located on the very North of Himalaya within the state of Jammu & Kashmir in Northern India, the only Buddhist province after Sikkim surrounded by Muslim and Hindu religious sects, and close to the border of Pakistan, bounded by world’s two mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram, the Ladakh and the Zanskar range.

Ladakh due to its remoteness and isolate and with high-altitude terrain makes the adventure destinations for travelers. As the border lies close to South West of Tibet and North of Ladakh and its an extension of Tibetan plateau and with strong Tibetan influence as well, with its ancient traditions and lifestyles remain firmly deep-rooted and untouched by outside world.

Ladakh at an altitude ranging from 2750 meters at Kargil to 7,672 meters at Saser Kangri in the Karakoram mountain range. The summer temperatures rarely exceed 27 degree Celsius in the shade, while in winter down below -20 degree Celsius including the capital and the main city Leh. However, the thin air makes carried the heat of the sun even more strong than at lower altitudes.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Delhi half day guided tour.
Day 03: Fly to Leh and transfer to hotel with afternoon at leisure.
Day 04: From Leh drive and trek to Likir 3,430m via Phyan – 05 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Yangthang 3,600 m-04 hrs walks.
Day 06: Trek to Hemis Sukhpachen 3,340m via Rizong pass 4,200 m.
Day 07: Trek to Ang 3,200m via Themsigang – 04 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Basgo via Khalse - 05 hrs.
Day 09: Drive back to Leh 3,450 m with visit of Spituk Gompa.
Day 10: Fly to Delhi and transfer to Agra.
Day 11: Tour of Agra Taj Mahal and return to Delhi.
Day 12: Depart Delhi for international departure.

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi and transfer to hotel.
Arrive in Delhi international airport and meet Annapurna Encounter representative and transfer to hotel, with time in the afternoon visit the bazaar in Delhi. Our guide in India will brief and inform of the program on tour and trekking in Ladakh and of Delhi sightseeing tour.

Day 02: In Delhi half day guided tour.
Morning after breakfast, our city guide will meet for the sightseeing tour around Delhi with a visit of old historical part of the city tour of Qutab Minar, Red Fort and Old Delhi and other places of interest.

Day 03: Fly to Leh and transfer to hotel with afternoon at leisure.
Morning transfer to Delhi domestic airport for a short flight of an hour to Leh the main city and capital of Ladakh, located northern India, the flight offers tremendous views of snow capped mountains of Karakoram and Zanskar range, on arrival meet our trekking guide who will transfer you to a nice hotel in Leh, afternoon relax and short walk for acclimatization.

Day 04: Drive and trek to Likir Topko 3,430m via Phyan - 05 hrs.
Starting the first day tour and trek with an interesting drive of two hours and trek to Likir village, on route a cultural visit of Phyang monastery, the 16th century monastery, built by the king Tashi Namgyal, the monastery or gompa located on a small hill above the lovely Likir village and on the right side of Leh-Srinagar highway close to Indus river.

Another tour of monastery with an hour walk to Likir village, the Likir monastery was built in 1065 AD, but the original structure was destroyed by fire so the building. After a visit of the monastery began trek with an interesting walk taking a small path descending on a steep slope to Likir Topko for first overnight camp of this trip.

Day 05: Trek to Yangthang 3,600 meters - 04 hrs
This small scattered village situated on the banks of the Likir Topko River, one of the tributary of great Indus river, is a lively and interesting village, morning walk descends gradually to a flourishing-looking village, following a path to a primary school for first overnight camp of this trip, rest of the afternoon at leisure with visit of the local monastery and observe the village life of Yangthang the highest camping spot of this trek.

Day 06: Trek to Hemis-Sukhpachen 3,340 m via Rizong - 05 hrs.
After a nice overnight at Yangthang, after breakfast starting the morning journey to Rizong the trail descends till Rizong village along a small gorge with many tree lines of Poplus and Willow as this is the only vegetations and tree that can survive this high windswept altitude and terrain. At Rizong visit the old Gompa with awesome views of surrounding landscapes and Zanskar range of mountains and then visiting the monastery walk continues with a steep uphill climb to a 4, 200 meters pass the highest spot of this wonderful trek. From here with views of Hemis-Sukhpachen village and snow capped peaks. After a marvelous stop heading down to Hemis-Sukhpachen village for overnight camp, with time to explore the village.

Day 07: Trek to Ang 3,200 m via Themsigang - 04 hrs.
Morning starting the morning trek over a green pastureland leading north-west direction skirting from the left side passing some chortens the trail branches off to the right fork passing a row of tall cedar trees, then reaching to our overnight camp at Ang which is the largest, and prosperous village of this area with fertile fields and orchards, afternoon explore this nice impressive village.

Day 08: Trek and drive to Basgo 3,240 m via Khalse - 05 hrs.
After breakfast starting the last day trekking to Basgo village starting towards a trail heading at Khalse on reaching the roadside with run-down tea stall and shops, and then a jeep drive to Basgo on route visiting Alchi Gompa, on arrival transfer to local guest house where you can observe the real Ladakhi life style where the native are always smiley singing folk song, and dancing and dinner served with local cuisines.

Day 09: Drive to Leh 3,450 m – 04 hrs.
After a memorable and enjoyable time drive back to Leh on route visit the Spituk Gompa, one of important monument of Ladakh, on reaching at Leh transfer into respective hotels for last overnight in Ladakh with afternoon at leisure for stroll in the market area.

Day 10: Fly to Delhi and drive to Agra - 05 hrs.
Depart from the hotel early morning for the scenic panoramic flight to Delhi, on arrival meet our representative for the drive of 225 km taking 4 hours to reach at Agra city, on arrival check in respective hotels with the time for a walk on the small narrow street of famous Taj Mahal City.

Day 11: Visit Taj Mahal and drive back to Delhi - 04hrs.
Morning visit of world famous monument the Taj Mahal with the sun rise, after a fascinating time continue drive to Delhi for last overnight in India

Day 12: International departure for homeward bound.
As per international and connecting flight back home or to respective countries, transfer to Delhi international airport for the flight onwards home.
